Convergent Networks Demonstrates Advanced Voice
Applications at SuperComm
Demonstrations Highlight Revenue-Generating Solutions for Carriers
with Convergent Networks' Broadly Deployed Next-Gen Switching Platform
and Partner Applications
ATLANTA, June 3, 2002, (SUPERCOMM Booth # 20722) - Convergent
Networks, a leading provider of next-generation voice infrastructure
solutions, today announced its comprehensive roster of live broadband
voice applications and advanced services demonstrations at SUPERCOMM
2002. Together with its customers and partners, Convergent Networks
is demonstrating the broadest range of IP-based voice services for
residential and business customers over packet or circuit networks
- from a residential subscriber over POTS, to a large, distributed
enterprise over an IP VPN, to a home office over hybrid fiber coaxial
(HFC) cable. Convergent and more than twenty of its partners will
showcase next-generation platforms and revenue-generating applications
that carriers can deploy today.
Applications demonstrations in Convergent Networks' SUPERCOMM 2002
booth #20722 will include:
- Long Distance/Tandem Services featuring voice VPNs, central
dial plan administration, subscriber screening, account code processing,
multi-stage dialing and customizable, integrated announcements.
- Advanced Business Voice Applications featuring hosted PBX, distributed
call centers, voicemail, unified communications, IP Centrex, custom
calling services and multi-party conferencing.
- Primary Line Class 5 Services is a cost-effective alternative
to legacy circuit switches for delivering residential voice services
over DSL and GR-303/POTS networks.
- Cable Telephony Solutions delivering primary line residential
and business services over HFC networks, with PacketCable-compliant
cable access devices and record-keeping system.
Demonstrations will be based on the Convergent Networks' platform, consisting of
the ICS2000 broadband switch, the
ICSG signaling gateway, the ICSP service proxy, the
ICSX feature server and the ICView management system.
In addition to the application demonstrations outlined, Convergent
Networks' Alliance Partners will be demonstrating advanced
IP services, integrated access devices, digital and broadband loop
carriers, media servers, SIP phones and ATM, TDM and IP routing
components that work together to enable carriers to deploy these
